Title: Fall turkey down in VA
Post by: trkehunr93 on November 04, 2011, 08:36:31 PM
Decided to keep my bow in its case and got out the Mossberg on Wed. morning to chase after some turkeys.  Had heard these birds on Tues. morning flying off the roost and my mind was made up.  Glad I decided to, nice young hen for the dinner table.  Hevi-shot #7 did it again!

How close was she when you shot? Looks like that hevi-shot did some damage.

She was inside 10 yrds.  her head is attached but not by much.  Put another one the ground Mon. morning, called the whole gang in of the roost.  Pretty exciting.  Will post a pic soon.  Guess now I have to start seriously deer hunting to pass the time until spring!
