This is a perfectly acceptable number of scratch boxes for a beginner to have! Seriously, if you don't use them you might give them some consideration. About as realistic as any call in the woods. The more I use them, the more I like them.

WITCH ONE DO U USE :turkey2:
David,
I have not seen half of those. You have been holding out on me. Great collection for sure. The way you run a scratch box it is pretty easy to see why you like them so much.
If it's a problem then I've got one too. It's not a problem unless you admit it. :help: :help:

Yup me too!!!!! And believe it or not I think I have more than David Love these damn things
Gobblers sure seem to like them also Bill. Isn't that what its all about. I had two different gobblers come running to one this spring.
...guess this means I have a problem too....they are deadly.....

Your right Rickey. I had a great spring season working birds to the gun with my scratch boxes and cant wait to do it this fall.
One of the most realistic calls in the woods IMO. :icon_thumright:
Very underrated as well. Learn to use one and it will be a go to call.
david you certainly could give a class on how one should sound.
Oh Oh then I guess I am a contributor to the addiction....kind of like a drug dealer...but instead of sniffing you are scratchin' ..... LOL.....
You've been hanging out with Rickey too much. :TooFunny: :TooFunny:
Seriously, you both have some great collections of fine turkey calls. I love seeing them also.
That's a great collection of scratchers!
Nice collection! I don't see a Lonnie Gilbert in the flock. He makes a real killer. Heard him in action this spring. Told him it made me want to strutt!
Nice collection of scratch boxes
not a bad addiction to have!
They are hard to beat and the fit in your shirt pocket.
Nice little collection David, Im jealous
You got a good start on scratch boxes. Just when are you going to let Rickey test them?
Congrats!
How about showing your chalk collection as well :toothy12:
You also must have a long shelf or huge storage bin or two.
Very nice collection I must admit.
Nice batch of scratchers.

March 14th. I'm calling, he's shooting. Then switch. Or something like that...l
Awesome Collection! I see a beard hunter scratch box, and that is one of my favarate scratch boxes.
Which one has recorded the most kills?

I have not hunted most of these. Only been messing with scratch boxes a few years. I was mostly focused on trumpets and tubes. I do have two kills with the box elder/mahogany scratch box from pappy on gobblers that were stubborn but loved it's clucks and purrs. On afternoon kill with a Morgan Beggin Hen.
This Spring I think scratch boxes will be my first call.
