Title: New for 2023?
Post by: Meleagris gallopavo on October 21, 2022, 07:09:00 AM
Any new guns or ammo coming out in 2023?  I've been out of the loop on guns and ammo since last spring.

I don't know, but I hope Browning eventually comes up with a modern Turkey gun (sub 6#, short barrel, compact stock, 20ga). I love their guns but I feel they are still living in an era where people want to tote 7# guns in 12ga.

Same for me, I can't understand the reasoning in not having a 20ga A5 out yet.  A 20 gauge Maxus II would be interesting also.

I'd be tempted by a 20 gauge A5...

Have a miroku A5. For sure the best looking shotguns out there.
Too bad that they weigh like a boat anchor.

Even a short barreled 20ga bps would be a good start.  Something similarly set up like some of the Mossberg turkey guns. I have a 20bps in Realtree AP with a 26inch tube that I love but it weighs as much as my SBE2!

Browning used to market several turkey related models that were great guns, I wish they would start again, especially in 20's.

I'm waiting on Benelli to implement the Benelli click fix "easy lock" to an m2 compact and make it to where there's no FTF issues with carrying that gun.

A Wolff spring upgrade basically eliminates that possibility.

+ or - 25% recoil spring?

+25%. Also the feed issue can be solved by adjusting the shell carrier latch. If it sticks out too much (towards the center of the gun), longer roll crimp shells will hang up.
