I was asked by Herb Hornstra to make him a scratchbox. He didn't specify what he wanted so I began tinkering and I came up with this. The soundboard is Honduran mahogany and the striker is African mahogany. The body is actually pine that I treated the way I do my 'hooch boxes'. Sounds great to my ears. I think I'm gonna make another for myself. I hope Herb is pleased. Thanks for looking.

Real nice!
I think the bark on that is awesome Allen . Can I put an order in for one now?
Thanks Kelvin, Al, and Dfxhunter. Herb loved his call and complimented me on not only the looks but the sound. It was a very nice letter. I am not taking orders on these at the moment but I confess I made three more and still tinkering between orders. I appreciate all the kind compliments.
