Title: Question on Scoring
Post by: pullit on April 06, 2015, 09:20:08 PM
Ok, never thought I would need to ask this but I killed a bird this past weekend that has (2) spurs on one leg and the standard (1) spur on the other. Do I add the spur lenghts together on the one that has (2) or am I only allowed to score the longer of the 2?

Thanks

First off, congratulations on a true rarity!

As with beards, score all that God gave him. Measure the spurs separately, add them together for that leg and enter that in the scoring calculator. Remember that the spur lengths are multiplied by a factor of 10.

I can't wait to see some pictures. Make certain that they are very clear and precisely measured as this bird may come under additional scrutiny.

Got the pictures posted in the score thread. The field photo is blurry but it was a self picture and the wind was blowing the camera around.
