I've had many great hunts with my 14 year old daughter over the years but Sunday morning was probably the best. I've been fortunate to be able to watch her kill several nice gobblers and witness her interest grow in hunting these birds. After an unsuccessful solo hunt Saturday morning, I scouted a different piece of property and found two gobblers midday. Later Saturday afternoon, I went back solo after the bird that whipped me Saturday morning and got revenge. While sitting there during the long afternoon hunt, I tried to develop a game plan for the next morning on the two birds I saw midday. I felt confident that we could at least have an attempt at a double if we set up in the right place. We arrived well before light Sunday and set up on a pasture edge where the birds would be headed. They roosted in some hardwoods with thinned pines between us and the pasture. The birds hammered on the roost and shut up when they flew down with hens. They stayed behind two brush piles, out of view but within 75 yards, in the thinned pines for an hour and a half with the hens yapping back at me almost every time I called. We finally got boss hen upset enough to break loose and head our way. She lured these two longbeards into the death trap.

Congrats, memoires made for sure. Her smile says it all.
Very nice!
Pretty gal you have there, and that smile looks sincere... And probably a bit disarming to "Daddy."
Fantastic, congrats to both. The real trophy is the proud smile on your face. Be well....
Thanks guys. I'm just glad she still enjoys going hunting with me in her teenage years. She's been rough on them since she was about the same size as a turkey.
This is a wonderful story. congrats guys .
Way to go. My daughter just had my first grandson and realized turkey hunting and breastfeeding may be tough! But we may still get a chance to sneak out. Nothing like a dad/daughter hunt.
Nice birds and awesome memories, way to go young lady!
Congratulations
Awesome!
