I have read a couple post about boots here past couple days. Anyway what boots do you wear in the woods and why.
I wear Lacroose rubber boots since I am in wet terrain often. Been looking for some comfortable lace-ups though just havent pulled the trigger.
I usually wear the same Lacrosse in the AM and this year will be wearing my new Timberland Gore-Tex hikers in the PM. The Lacrosse is a little better at handling the dew. If you are lookig for really comfortable hikers check out the Timberlands.
danner jackalII.because of there weight.
Danners are my current choice, mostly because of their comfort.
Danner Pronghorns and a pair of old Chulka's
Depends on where I'm hunting. Lacrosse for the swampy areas and Danner Mountain Lights in the hills or drier hardwoods. I'm on my 2nd Pair of Danner's in the last 20 years. They make a fine product in the USA!
Lace Ups - Danner Pronghorns, no thinsulate
Rubbers - Rockys
Much prefer to wear the Danners. After starting with a pair that leaked I returned them and haven't had a problem since. Woods, hills, rocks.
I have heard the danner pronghorns are very good. They look comfortable as well.
Rocky and Danner snake boots :)
Mucks - comfortable, waterproof, and light weight.
Rocking Danner Radicals. They are just camoed hiking boots.

Danner pronghorn because I like dry feet, rocky's suck
I wear camoflauge muck boots with 200 insulation. they are perfect for my PA weather conditions.
Lacrosse rubber boots. I'm really thinknig about getting a pair of Danner boots this year, though.
I just wear an old pair of Danner 8" duty boots I have in the closet. The GoreTex is still good, but the leather just won't take a good shine any longer for work. I'm probably just going to camo paint them for this Spring.
Browning Feather Weights.
My try a pair of Danner's here in the near future
Mucks - comfortable, waterproof, and light weight.

I wear Muck quarter tops.
Either Lacrosse Alphaburlys or Danner Pronghorns.
However if I'm just out scouting or messing around in the woods, I've been wearing my old Wesco climbing boots a lot lately. Unreal comfort.
I was looking for a pair of rubbers last year and heard a lot about Muck, Lacrosse, and Irish Setter. I ruled out the Muck because of the neoprene (afraid of capturing my scent). So I was down to the other two so I went to Cabela's to try them on. The Lacrosse Alphaburly didn't fit my foot right (I have a very high arch), they seemed to be great boots just not comfortable for me. So I tried on the Irish Setter Rutmaster's and they were the bees knees! I hunted in them all season (+/- 30 days) and they never hurt my feet. I was worried about climbing up and down hills but the new exoflex technology really held them tight. They felt like I was wearing sneakers. Needless to say I just bought a pair of Irish Setter leathers (Trailblazers) and I doubt I'll own any other brand again. Just my $.02
During the early season when the weather is still pretty cold I wear Danner's w/ Thinsulate. After it warms up I wear Danner Gortex. I really like them because they are so lightweight. It's like wearing a pair of sneakers.
Danner pronghorns when it's a little chilly, danner jackals when its warm and muck when its pouring rain.
I wear the Redhead (Bass Pro) knock offs of the Rocky Snake Boots. They work just as well, but are half the price if you buy them during the Fall Classic at Bass Pro. Lightweight, waterproof (for 2 or 3 seasons), durable and affordable.
rocky snake boots i like the traction on these boots non slip
Muck's best boot I have had on my feet, can't tell you have them on...
Lacrosse grange
Danner Pronghorns
Danner Pronghorns - more upland
Muck - wet habitats
Got some muck uplands that I don't like very much. Some off brand camo snake boots that I like so far got them for turkey season and lacrosse big chief hip boots.. Which ones i use depends on the conditions and location
I usually use Vibram Five Fingers, or a pair of Merrel hiking shoes.
Nikes
I'll use rubber boots doesn't matter what brand as long as they keep my feet dry
Bought some Danner Grouse's I think they are goin to serve me well.
Wear Rocky's now and their coming to the end of the trail. Next pair will be Danners Pathfinder boots. :firefighter:
Lacrosse burley.

Alpha lite for really wet days
2 pairs of Danner hiking boots and a boot dryer incase I wade!
I. will never buy or wear snake boots again! I use snake leggings.
Danner pronghorn 2 pair uninsulated 1 pair 200 gram for early season also 1000 gram for deer season. Best boots I have ever owned!
It depends on where I'll be hunting. When I'm hunting here in NE NC where I might have to be in some swamps and cross some water I use Muck Woody Armours. When I hunt in the NC and SC piedmont I use LL Bean boots and in the mountains I use some Meindel boots sold by Cabelas which have better ankle support and vibram soles.
I mainly wear my Keen hiking shoes (water resistant). They are light weight and work good in the soft sandy roads I hunt. If the weather is bad I will put on my lacrosse.
Baffin Trackers, Calf length rubber boots but they are getting to be 15-20 years old and I am gonna have to retire them I think this year. Thinking of trying Cabelas Pinnacles to replace them just havent decided whether to get 400 or 800 grams of thinsulate
danner jackal's just try some on and you'll know why

danner pronghorns
Danner's for me.

Lacrosse Grange
These are my favorite boots by a long shot. The Danner pronghorns that everyone raves about are comfortable but mine aren't very waterproof. More like water resistant! My feet get soaked if I walk in tall wet grass with them...
Still wearing an old pair of MOBU Lacrosse Granges. If I'm hunting quick after work I normally wear my everyday boots, Irish Setter Ground Sensing GTX side zips. As dry as it is in south GA this year I will probably wear the Irish Setters more often.
Wolverine non insulate
Lacrosse insulated
Rocky Snake boot
Cabelas 2000 gr. insulated rubber boots.
browning snake boots
the new lacrosse lace-ups with the side zippers also. finally wore my last pair of lacrosse out last year after about 10 years
Irish setter rubber boots. where I hunt its too wet to wear anything but rubber boots most of the time.
Wolverines
four years, numerous trips to New Mexico,Georgia,Texas and Florida's wet swamps.they've been good boots.keep a brand new pair when these wear out.
Danners, I also hear under armors are nice
Usually Danner Pronghorns or Lacrosse uninsulated lace ups
DANNERS DUDE :funnyturkey:
