Title: Rutland colors/gluing layups
Post by: BTH on April 23, 2021, 11:02:53 AM
Getting harder and harder to find this stuff since the fire. Pretty neat info I found yesterday. Colors, infusion info etc.
Neat read. May help you decide what color combo you want if you are looking. Some folks may have already seen this. It is a safe PDF.

I remember reading about the colors and the dark color for striker's the Best , I order a light colored one ad didn't sound nearly as good  , my experience

Regal colored Rutland has been my favorite... I have tried a bunch of different colors and many are pretty good. Some of it depends on the maker too!

I have a red/grey dymondwood striker from Neal Herman and it always sounds good on just about any of my pots. It's looks closest to the Apple Jack color. Not sure if that's really it or not but that's pretty neat to see what wood veneers the colors are made of.
