Title: Greg gwaltney trumpet practice
Post by: Kygobblergetter on January 20, 2022, 02:22:02 PM
Some more trumpet practice from today. I'm starting to feel pretty good about the way my yelps sound. Starting to work on getting the hang of the kee kee. Really loving the playability of this call

You're going to have good luck with that this spring.

Tip for kee-kees.
When you start practice, try to get and hold the first note of your yelp. Keeeeeeee.......you'll only be able to hold it for two or three seconds, but it is good air control practice. Just keep doing that until holding a good cleat note.

When you feel comfortable with that, hold that note and go we, we, we.....we, we, we....yelp, yelp.

See there, easy right???

Thanks EZ. I appreciate the tips. Hopefully I can figure it out in the next month or so. I'm really enjoying playing with yelpers and starting to figure them out a little bit. They sure are addicting!

You are doing great, sounds like you are on the right path for this Spring. Kee-kee's just take some time(EZ's tips are perfect), but you are already close to getting it, you will be a dang pro in 3 months.
