Title: Hoosier daddy
Post by: Kygobblergetter on April 27, 2022, 12:57:53 PM
Was able to call in a public land Indiana bird for my dad this morning. Somehow this is the first bird I've ever actually seen him shoot, which to be honest is a little embarrassing considering how many he's seen me kill. We had a great hunt. There were people everywhere which is to be expected on public during opening day but we were able to get away from the crowds and seal the deal. We had the bird strutting and gobbling in range for at least 10 minutes but dad couldn't get a shot because it was so thick. Finally a couple soft yelps got the bird to break and come another 20 yards where dad finally got a clear shot (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220427/8b765402e680a0621be57e7395888ba1.jpg)

Thanks! It's been a blast. Got some birds located and I'm back on the gun tomorrow so hopefully I can keep it up
