I have been fooling with Winchester Super X 2 3/4" loads in all three shot sizes. Running these in a 21" 870. Two of the best combos I have found so far is #6 with Jellyhead Max and #4 with Kick's .665. Just got an Indian Creek to try with these also.
I plan on hunting with the Kick's / #4 some this season.

Shooting the Winchester 2 3/4 6's.  1.25 ounce shot out of my Rem 870 21"bbl/ Kicks .655. Great for the kids to shoot and definite killer to 35yds.

If you can find some Winchester Rooster XR's you may want to try them. They are 2 3/4" with 1 1/4 oz of shot. Shot is in the resin like the Longbeard XR.

Remington 870 21" barrel range 40 yards lasered
55 degrees out.
Hevi-choke.662 with 136 in the 10"
Carlson chokes.660 at 124 in the 10"
Both patterns are very even.
Recoil less than expected.
Rooster XR  2 3/4" 6's

1940's Browning auto 5 with a 30" full choke. Shooting federal 2 3/4" mag shock #6 copper plated lead with the flight control wad. Awesome results to 35 yards!
