any recommend a dslr on camera mic; wanting to hear distant gobble           thanks

Don't know about the "DLSR" specifics, But I use a Rode Videomic Pro with my setup and get great results. Depending on the specifics of your DSLR and audio inputs would depend on what version would work. Sennheiser also has some great mics, we use their wireless mics.

hear distant gobbles? what do you think range is?  get same results with videomic go   or the pro with gain controls better?  thanks

I have been able to get audio easily at 100-150 yards (gobbling) I have the Pro and have not used the Go. Controls are on the camera "Canon XA30 Professional HD Camcorder"
