Title: Man of my Word
Post by: zelmo1 on June 14, 2022, 01:02:03 PM
I just shipped the calls to Happy, there is a striker in the box for each of you goats. Nothing fancy just turkey killers, lol. I did put the " whammy " one one of them, Please give that one to crow  :funnyturkey:. He isn't a believer in good faith. Great year guys, and it was fun. We will try again next year. Al

Many thanks Al.
Gents I believe there are several calls in this package as well as multiple strikers. I will post them up once they arrive and anyone has some youth hunters or up and coming turkey hunters in need of calls I believe we can set a few up. As far as the travel call goes I have Eggshell and Reflexl as candidates to give it the first runs this fall. Once the seasons start up we can start a thread and start keeping a tally of states and gobblers.

Thanks Zelmo1. I know I give you guys a hard time but its all in fun. I think the travel call idea is awesome. It will be super awesome to beat you turkeys with your own call.  :z-guntootsmiley:

I'm learning from you guys, fuzzy pics and weighing in grams and measuring in centimeters will up my score next year.  :funnyturkey:

Hang around us Zelmo and in a few years we will have you the envy of the rest of your team mates. Don't let it get to your head though cause 1 is not enough to rise to the good looking, charismatic, soffisticated, and noligible level of us GOATS.

It's called wisdom from the ages. If that's not it, then it's just a case of hunted to long, killed too many and put up with too many idiots to give a squat about what anyone else thinks. We are what we are and our biggest goal is to just live long enough and be healthy enough to hunt another season and have fun.

I didn't see in the rules that it was mandatory to use english measurements, aren't metrics optional? It's also says good picture, I thought all our pictures were good. Now Crow's sabattical was a little fuzzy but he shot it in it's natural camo phase...he shoulda waited until it was in strut and more brillant.

Well here they are gentlemen. There is one call missing but I sent Zelmo a check for a call when we were discussing the travel call and I really took a shine to a nice pretty 3" slate that sounds really good to my ear and isn't fussy on strikers either. All sound good though and the glass travel call is definitely gonna get some blood on it courtesy of the GOATS. If any team members has or knows a young kid that is looking for a call pm me and we can fix them up. I think maybe I will send the Second spare around with the glass call and we can pass it around as well and send that one back to gobblenut. Thanks a bunch Zelmo1!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220617/b96af2bafa8556e9e21e57079eda25a4.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220617/632f173b3e14a74275653788d8863186.jpg)

Nice looking calls and very generous gesture, and if Happy is liking how they sound I'm looking forward to the hunt.

But, Skippy, it's going to take a lot more than that to get me to reveal any tips for trophy quality sabbatical hunting

you'll have plenty of time to get yourself down to the local Photohut to sign up for a photography class

I am thinking about returning the favor. I am writing a book on trash talking and I am thinking about sending old Zelmo the first signed copy. The boy needs some help.

I feel no joy by picking on a bunch of old hobbling sheep wanna bees, I would rather take the high road, possibly the preferred path of goats. I have to put a governer on my " trash talking" per my wife. I was trained by the professional old timers at a shipyard. They have been known to drive men, goats, rats and pigeons totally mad, so I need to dole it out responsibly. I really do hope you guys like the calls and strikers. It releases endorphins when you do for others and it is a natural high. Z

Bring it zelmo, I have been professionally trained by coal miners, iron workers and roughnecks. Not to mention my WV redneck upbringing. Believe me if the above fellows find a nerve they will stomp on it until it has lost all feeling.

I too grew up in the hills of West Virginia and can testify that this is true.   Check your feelings at the door.

I was taught that you don't mess with another man's family, tools, lunch, truck or $$. Respect or be ready to eat knuckles. Loyalty above all , besides honor. I have gotten my beak bent over when it was appropriate, in my younger days, but with experience comes wisdom. Or so I am told . I can accept the beating you put on us, but I don't have to like it. It's fuel to be better. Thanks for that ????

Well I am deeply and emotionally wounded, you all know I am emotionally fragile and extremely sensitive and humble. "Sits in corner and trembles". If you all changed your panties once and a while you wouldn't walk through life with a chapped arse and bad attitude. In the words of Bob Marley, "Don't worry be HAppy". Oh man that's really not the best quote here, is it....

I was taught those same things. Family, food and money were off-limits. However I was also taught that friends were supposed to be harassed in a good natured way and the better the friend the worse the harassing. If you weren't being insulted then you probably weren't liked.
