..Hey folks.. Does anyone have a bird mounted in the "roost gobble" pose?
...Mine's at the taxidermist right now and that's the style mount he's making for me of my gobbler...
If you happen to have a bird mounted like this, please post up your pics. I'd like to see what can be
done by skilled hands. :thanks:
..That's a beautiful mount!... My taxidermist is working on something similar to that...but the wings are going to be dropped on my bird.

Heres mine, I just got this back. Its my 2010 opening day bird. Half strut gobbling on a limb. The head is freeze dried and hand painted.

guesswho, the amount of beards on that bird just isn't fair.
This is a bird I killed in 2009. He had 1 1/2 inch spurs.

...Thanks for the pics, guys...
..Guesswho..that's unreal. What a trophy! :you_rock:
..Crappiepro..yours is closer to the style that my man is working on.
...Keep'em coming if you gottem! :z-guntootsmiley:
Killed this one last year. Always wanted one half strut gobbling. I didn't really get enough strut as I wanted but I am still pleased.

That is a picture I found on the internet. But, I do have a red phase gobbler at the taxidermist now that will be done in that pose. It's gonna be done by "Birds Only", a member here on OG.
Here's mine

....Beautiful mounts, fellas.... Hope my guy does as much justice to my trophy as was done to the birds shown on this thread. :anim_25:
Here is one that is being mounted in half strut gobbling on a limb by my taxidermist. It is not finished but it still looks awesone. (http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/Photo0462.jpg)

Thanks for the comment but that is not mine. He has also mounted them with the tail a little more down.

X2 THOSE BEARDS ARE AWESOME!!!
Here's a few I did half strut, gobbling. They will work on the floor or wall. Just have to change base for wall.

That is bad to the bone right there. Great mount. Not a feather out of place. Looks just like the real thing. Who did this work?
