I acquired a good size lot of Mun Ebony and have been drying it out for about 9 months now , and have been messing with it for some time -after getting a hold of it I realized what a good wood it is for turkey calls , it polished up like glass , and is harder and more stable than most other Ebonies - Unfortunately Mun Ebony is listed as critically endangered and export is banned under CITES regulations , so what stock is out there will likely go up in price as supply dries up
This is the first one I have made and it is sold , along with a Amber Cocobolo call

Shannon those are some fine looking callers. I like that Mum ebony. Its makes an excellent trumpet to.

Yep its Florida for me and its 85 deg I like to take pictures outside and the water makes for nice lighting and contrast , {the major selling point for the swimming pool is it keeps the kids occupied and subtracts a major part of my neglected yard needing to be mowed}
If you click on the video link you will see me running a fighting rattle with the calls , but they are very good at everything else - If you are a into fast cutting , clucking and tramp yelps - these can crank those out --
My time is limited to making these , and there is about a whole day put into making just 1 call
For those interested I have many designs of pushpins , the prices vary ,and start at $100 each plus shipping, season is around the corner for me , and soon I will drop everything in pursuit of gobblers
