Title: Mark Prudhomme trumpet....finally
Post by: KentuckyHeadhunter on January 13, 2019, 05:32:16 PM
Was glad to see Mark at Unicoi again this year because I didn't get a call from him last year and he has a 2 year waiting list sometimes.  He is a wealth of knowledge and hugely successful caller, hunter, and callmaker.  I feel like I picked the best of the bunch here with this one.  Its very old mud cured cypress that he harvested and the MP is a very hard medical grade plastic.  I love the classic design and capabilities of this call.  There are good trumpets and there are great trumpets.  In my personal opinion this is an exceptional trumpet.  I am proud to have this and to have gotten the opportunity to meet Mr Prudhomme.  This call will certainly see the woods!

Another pic.  I think the color is more true here.  Almost grayish.

I received one of Mark's trumpets last year. Osage and Ivory. Great trumpet for sure.

Sharp classic looking trumpet,

just re-watched the episode of Mark hunting with the old Davis Greener last night.
His calls sound very good in the woods

My buddy thought hard about buying one of the two. Was a honor to run his calls and to get a few tips from him. I enjoyed speaking about trumpets and the process of making and playing them with him! You have a true turkey killer!

Beautiful call Alan!  Mark had some down right killers there. John Dangerfield also had a mid cured cypress horn that sure was sweet.
