Scratching in the leaves has been effective for me.
I've raked trails in the woods with my boots so I can get in and out quieter and be able to move from tree to tree to get closer. More than once ive had birds come in to me while doing this. It is a sit specific tactic for me.

One of the most effective, natural calls you can use my friend, amen. It will usually close the deal.....
Leaf scratching and even imitating turkeys walking has killed quite a few birds for me.
