Can anyone tell me what the exact Realtree camo pattern was used in a 1988-1991 Mossberg Model 835 Ulti Mag model? I know one pattern was called Woodland, but I am looking for the Realtree pattern. Mine is predominantly dark green, light green, and dark brown with willow shaped dark green & dark brown willow-shaped leaves scattered about. It resembles Realtree Xtra Green, but does not have any tree limbs present.
I think it was called Realtree Brownleaf. It was a similar pattern to Mossy Oak Greenleaf.
Realtree introduced 2 patterns in 1998
Original Grey Leaf and Original Brown Leaf
It could be Realtree Brownleaf, but my Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag was purchased in 1991 and you posted that the Brownleaf pattern was not introduced until 1998. I dunno! Maybe I could contact Mossberg. Got to get me a smartphone, so I can post pics.
You both are right, it is Realtree Brown-Leaf which was introduced in 1988 by Bill Jordan. I Googled it and finally found it on the company timeline. Thanks for the feedback.
I had the NWTF commemorative medallion 835 and it came in Realtree xtra brown. Wish I'd never traded that gun.
Yep Realtree Brown leaf, I had one and sold it like a jack a**

Don't feel bad..........We've all done that!
I had one with a 28" pipe and traded it for a shorter barrel.

Hey man, anybody that`s hunted and owned a few guns over the years that hasn`t experienced seller`s regret, well, hasn`t really been into it, IMHO. Don`t feel bad. I think it`s just part of it!

Ain't that the truth! I have been slowly buying guns to replace the ones I've sold and regretted, and it's costing me a lot more the second time around.
