Title: trough call question

inherited this call from an Uncle after his death.  assume its from the 80's or 90's.  He very well could have picked it up at Unicoi in the old days as he used to be a regular then.  Anybody got an idea of who maker might be

  Ben Lee   Super Hen. Killed my first turkey with one of them.  Ben sent me one with slate the year they came out. The first ones had a strip of aluminum and it didn't like moisture from the air.   Bob

Yep, that's a Ben Lee Super Hen.  Either that or someone made a really good effort to mimic his call.  Looks like someone has sanded it and put some varnish on it at some point, as I don't believe they originally came with that kind of finish. I also think most were stamped and/or signed on the back and there is no indication of either on that call.  As for dating the call, I would put it's manufacture date probably in the 1970's,...at least that's when I got mine as I recall.
