Decided to get my guns ready for the season. This is my usual go to, but just bought a Mossberg 835 on the cheap so I will use that as my primary. But here was my pattern today, 26 degrees, 870 supermag, hevi .662 choke3.5 longbeard #5s in 2 oz, at 40 yards. I tried to free hand the 10inch circle with a giant fail.. then i failed at my math. Anyway, 196 in the 10. Not bad.
I got similar results with my 870 with 23" barrel. I hunted 2016 Spring with this set up and can attest to the fact that it will layeth down the smacketh on Mr. Longbeard. Gobbler I harvested dropped like a ton of bricks at 30 yards with nary a flinch or flop ;D
