Laser boresighting red dots
March 18, 2012, 09:17:55 PM
Just wondering if anyone uses one of those laser shotgun shells used to boresight in their red dot sights. I already have my fastfire 3 sighted in but I seen one at the local gun shop and was thinking about picking one up. My gunsmith said he uses them to sight in everyones red dots that they have him mount. My question is do you think this is an accirate way of sighting in? Thanks

My hunting buddy is a gunsmith, so I used his old fashioned, non-laser bore sighter with my Burris. I ended up moving the dot about 3" lower after the first shot. Second shot confirmed and I was done. The laser bore sight will do the same for you.
I hate sighting in with 5.00 per shot, bone crushing turkey grenades. I will do whatever it takes to keep the shots to a minimum.
