I'm sure I'm asking a stupid question here but why are all Platz pot calls so expensive? No offense, just curious.
The ones I see for sale are triple the price of other high end calls.
Is it the wait list?
Supply and demand. If you can catch him at a show with one for sale you can get a call for around $125. Guys are profiting off the fact that he doesn't take orders anymore.

Gotcha! That's the only logical reason I could think of.

Based upon my personal experience:
-He makes calls that birds respond very well too.
-The prices that his calls command is a matter of supply and demand.
It's definitely a supply demand example, but the man makes outstanding calls. There is a reason for that demand and the prices they bring
Winning DD Adams which he has long deserved has also added value.
Being the nice and humble person he is doesn't hurt either.. :icon_thumright:
thanks for the input guys!
fyi, I was in no way questioning the quality of his calls or the pricing. Just curious since I've seen several Platz on here and on ebay lately for big $.
Have you ever ran one of his glass calls?

I remember when the wait was 6 weeks when I got my calls from Paul, but that was probably 5 years ago,
before he gained the following he has now.
Great guy, and Paul does make a great call....but so do a lot of other lesser known pot call builders on this site.
I'm not waiting 3 plus years for a call, when there are other good options out there.
