Blasted anodized aluminum question

So I am not new to making pots, but I recently tried blasted anodized aluminum because I was just curious.  Maybe I am missing something, but the blasted surface seems way too rough.  It takes so much pressure to run and it seems to deaden the sound a bit.  I knocked it down with sandpaper a bit and it runs great, but if that's necessary I don't see the point in blasting it.  I sure would appreciate a little insight if possible.

Try blasted aluminum from Stumpy. His aluminum is finely blasted and no conditioning is necessary. Not all suppliers are the same.

i never realy cared for it eather thats just  putting it in my existing plain aluminum pot design ,, guess if u realy wanted to use the blasted u could always rework your pot dimensions

I'm not a fan of it either Mike..worthless in my opinion, never use it anymore...much better stuff out there.

The aluminum I use is anodized, and powder blasted, so it's a very fine texture. I absolutely love it. Really easy to work.
