Just finished up this Glass over a Grizzly Chewing Tobacco Lid in a African Mahogany-Walnut Pot. I thought the lid was pretty cool because I could scratch out the word Cut and scratch in BEARD (Extra Long Beard = Turkey) and then Smokeless tobacco changed to Turkey Hunting. Since it is my 1st one (using the tin lid) I guessed at the distance between the lid and glass, but will make adjustments on the next ones. I'll update with either a sound file (if it sounds good) or with my notes on how it sounds (if it sounds like crap).

Before conditioning the glass I have to finish up a couple of 3" copper in Spalted Magnolia and a Walnut bowl.

UGLY Sounding - Well maybe not so bad when played at a distance. Posted youtube link below. Give it a listen and give me your opinion. First call with a snuff lid soundboard. The lid set the size if the call, so.....

Just not enough rasp for me.... ;D

I do like the idea of alternative soundboard material but consistency comes into play.  Either way they look nice.  Keep playing with em.

Its not actually a bad sound. It might not be what you are going for, as far as sound goes. Hows the volume?
