Got my Benelie sighted in with Longbeards and tried a Federal TSS load of 7 and my poi changed by at 8" at 40 yds, is this common?

Yes. POI is pretty much unique to each combination.

It can be. I just sighted in a mossy 835 with Aimpoint with long beards 6's and with hevi 6's and there was about a 7" difference in windage but not elevation. I was a bit surprised since the long beards are faster I would have thought elevation changes would have been the norm
I also shot my sbe2 with the same shells and the long beards impacted a bit higher but not enough to mess with the Aimpoint on that shotgun. I would feel comfortable using either shell in that gun without making adjustments.

It CAN change from load to load. Not always, but different wads, payload weight and velocities can effect POI. My SBE II shoots the EXACT same POI with Federal Heavyweight 7s, Hevishot 6s and the Longbeards. Same thing for my 835. Not the case with my 20 gauge 870 or my nephew's 500. Change the load, change the POI. No definites though with shotguns...
