Stuck choke

CJ, I wanted to thank you for this thread.  I went to my gun cabinet today, pulled out all my shotguns, pulled the chokes, cleaned and lube them and reinstalled them.  None stuck but it did get me thinking when was the last time I did this.  You also ask about a shotgun vise, I use a regular bench vise with a piece of rubber to protect the finish.

The best way to remove a stuck choke is to not be in a hurry!!!  Fill up a small container full of kroil oil and sit it in the corner. Take your barrel off the gun and sit it down in the container and lean it up to your corner of the house and forget about it for a week to 10 days and that choke won't be stuck no more. But time is never on your side when you want that stuck choke out.

I wet the treads with Mobil 1 before I screw them in, seems to work.
