I keep a piece of 60 grit, 120 grit and green scotch brite on a caribiner key chain hooked to my vest so I can find it fast if needed.

I use green on slate, copper, and anodized aluminum. I used to use it on my strikers with the green scotchbrite as well, until I read Mike and Scott's posts on this thread. The 150 with light pressure and a twist works much better.

Never knew there was a difference in green or maroon. Use both on my on my slate and 150 grit on my strikers. Seems to work well except on a Diamond wood striker I bought last year. It's been a very hard striker to tune up and has never sounded that good.
