After i cleaned mine and polish them with clear fingernail polish , i take a long leather shoe string and string mine , like a necklace....  i found a dremel tool is the best to cut them off the feet...

I put all my better one's (1" or better) on a leather cord with dark wooden 5/16" beads between them. It had 29 pairs and it stretched pretty close to 5'. I've got it hanging around a deer shoulder mount in my den, the shorter spurs are saved in an old glass quart milk bottle. It was a lengthy process to boil, clean, peroxide and poly spray them all but a good retired old man winter project.

Never really kept any. I don't even have half of the beards from the birds I've shot.

Man all those spur set ups look great
