3" 870 Shell Shucker

You should easily get that pattern or better with Win Sup HV Lead #5's.  If the 6's don't out pattern the 5's, go with the 5's for the extra energy and range.

i was thinking of trying the hevi no 6's

the hevi 13's!  would a 3 inch  1 5/8 shell be fine?

In Hevi13's if you want 6's you want 3-2-6.

Agreed.  The 1 5/8 oz load should certainly be an improvement over what you have, but the 2 oz load will likely give you the best results...unless you want to try #7's   ;)

Thats a good lead pattern..i would like to see what another 5 yards looks like..Hevi 3-2-6's and 3-2-7's will definately give you higher numbers but if you are looking to stick with lead try the Grey Box  3- 1 7/8 6's (Red Shell).  Numbers should increase a bit with that shell.  40yds or less the turkey outta be in trouble.

i average around 150 hits in a 10 inch cirle at 35 yards wit ha mossberg 500 using winchester supreme hv 6 shot. i think your gun should be capable of more than that.i use a primos tightwad .660 choke
