Anyone ever try PMC 3" 2 Oz. #6 Magnum Turkey Loads?

I found a store that has a bunch for $7 per box of 10, and $4 per box of 5.

All other brands of 3" 2 Oz. Turkey loads cost $15-$18 per box of 10 in my area.

I plan to pattern some of these soon.

yeah i tryed some and they sucked. 4 different chokes and i couldnt get anything that would kill past 30 yds... with that being said every gun likes different loads and chokes so they may just be the thing your gun loves

Honestly, I was thinking of using these as a short range 444 pellet #6 Lead option.  The woods are getting thick around here, and I want to open up my pattern.  If I'm in a place where I expect 30 yards or less, why go with a super tight pattern?  I'm hoping to set up a gun and choke combo with these that will fill up 15" at 30-35 Yards.  A 30 Yard Nightmare.  I'm thinking of trying standard XFULL chokes in my Remington and Browning.  I'll compare these to some 3" 1.75 Ounce Win Sup HV #5 Lead shells.

There are 2 versions of this shell.  One has Nickel-Plated Lead at $4 per 5, and the other has Hardened Lead at $7 per 10.  I own some of both.  I tried some of the Nickel-Plated Lead a couple of days ago at 35 yards, in 5 different combos.  Temps were in the 70's, with little to no wind.

BPS 28" and .676? Star Dot = 173 in 13", 133 in 10" at 35 Yards
BPS 28" and .700 Dead Deer = 141 in 13", 108 in 10" at 35 Yards
870 28" and .655 Ventilator = 162 in 13", 125 in 10" at 35 Yards
870 28" and .665 Indian Creek = 13" not "full", 140 in 10" at 35 Yards
870 28" and .665 Gobblin' Thunder = 13" not "full", 125 in 10" at 35 Yards

*Not bad at all for a shell that costs 80 cents.*

I tape my targets to an old steel tree stand ladder, and the Nickel Plated Lead pellets sound like Hevi13 pellets when they hit the ladder.  These shells have very little recoil for a 2 ounce payload.

Those numbers seem more than adequate to me.wouldnt be scared to pack those into the timber.

That's about what my thoughts are.  I'm looking for some affordable options for Lead, that give nice even patterns.  These are a breath of fresh air for the price, IMO.

I think Van's probably has some PMC reloading components, but I don't know about Turkey loads?

Note: The Box reads "Nickel Plated", and the shells read "Copper Plated".
