Total newbie to this site and this my first post.  A group of us are heading to Harper KS the week of 4/18.  We will be hunting with TB outfitters.  Do you have any tips or strategies?  This is my first time hunting in KS and would like any info on hunting Rios.  Are they more voacal than the Easterns I am used to hunting.  Any info on the outfitter, calls, gear, etc would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks again and good luck this season.

KSGobbler,
What part of KS do you live in?  I'll be in the Pittsburgh area April 14-18th.

If you'll be in Harper, you might be far enough west not to enjoy the effects of 4-5 wet weather hatches in a row.   ;)

Be ready for anything. Its snowing so hard right now you can barely see. Supposed to be 80 and sunny Sunday. Mid april opener 5 years ago we hunted in 5" of snow, then a severe tstorm 3 days later.
Some real good advice!  :icon_thumright:
If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!
