They have some in stock at local outfitters, anybody shot these shells yet specifically in the 20ga? i know the weather isn't all that great for shooting and they are new load but tossing up the idea to either buy them or not.

The Woodsman

Buy them and stop the suspense.....

I bought two boxes of 20ga from MPW last week. Shopping for 3rd DegreeĀ® in 20ga also. Will pattern both through three guns and 8 chokes after it warms up.

Didn't have any luck with the Triple Beards in an 870 21" with three different chokes today.
SSX, tightwad and Trulock.
the SSX smokes with straight hevi 7's
the Trulock kicks but with HW7's
And the Rem Superfull , which i forgot today. Does great with Federal Grandslam 6's, Hevi 6's and HW7's.
Also shot straight full choke in a CZ douuble with triple beards with no luck.
This the 20 gauge.....

How were your numbers, did it pattern well at 35 yards? you can't compare them to hevi or fed #7 but did it pattern better than other types of lead loads?

Sorry bud only shot at 40. Already have a 40 yard turkey gun with this 870 shotgun.
Numbers were not worth counting, well under 100 in the 10".
Federal Grand slam 5's and 6's do much better for lead, but finding them is tough.
Have not tested alot of lead . But this load is no breakthrough as far as i have tested.
A comparison of loads, whether lead, hevi or HW is what this is about.
Did i think this would beat HW 7's , no. Was curious how it would do though.
Maybe ok as a shorter range load in a double barrel set up, a lot of lead loads will do that though.
At 16 bucks a box , a expensive lead load. do like the box though.

Went ahead and counted the Triplebeard at 65 in the 10" at 40 yards.
Then counted the 15" for another 57 hits in the 10-15" so a total of 122 in the 15"
MAYBE might give you an ballpark of what it might have done at 35 yards.
21" 870 barrel, very dirty with TRULOCK (non-HW type).
But very dirty it did shoot 153 in the 10" with Hevi 7's and the SSX.

Need to deep clean and try the SSX again. And the RSF. Have 4 shells left .
Shot one round with my clean CZ double an noticed this is a very dirty load.
Wad went almost to the pattern board.

Atleast 80 in 10" at 35 yards with lead isn't to bad, about the same I get with Win xx but the Triple Beards are cheaper  by 3$... let me know if you shoot more of them.

Not bad for lead, if you clean the barrel probably closer to 100 in 10"... I want to try it with Mossberg 500 20ga and .585 and 575. Carlson's chokes, if I get same numbers that'd be good.

I just posted some results for triple beards in 12 gauge in the pattern forum if you want to take a look. Very satisfied at 20, not as much at 40, but gun was dirty by the time I got to 40.

Your pattern wasn't too bad but wytrat had a good pattern with them but 12 ga don't help me out too much, sense is have a 20ga, idk maybe I'll try the Fed HW 7.

Yea sorry I can't help you with the 20. I was happy with the patterns. Going to go out when weather isn't rain and 45 degrees soon and shoot again. And clean the barrel between shots as well. Like I said in my post, I really like the 20 yard pattern of the triple beard better than the longbeards. No room for error at all with the longbeards.
