Roosting Birds

Just wanted to get some opinions. If you roost a bird in the evening and can basic pin point where he is located. How close would you guys try to get to him on the initial setup.

Depends.  If I think I know where he's heading when he pitches down I'm ok with 100-150 yards.  If it's new property and I have no idea what he's going to do I'd get as close as possible.
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!
