I also use my own voice.  Took a while before I was confident enough to use it in the field but wouldn't have it any other way now.

You sound like a fool practicing it at first.  Wouldn't recommend walking around the local mall practicing.  Might get some funny looks.

I owl well with my voice but I still carry a Harrison.  Some mornings I just don't feel like using my own voice due to sore throat or stuffy head.

Its hard to beat our Hoot N Stick.. The poly, wood or custom version all sound very close..

The Hoot N Stick sounds better that about 8 out of 10 average turkey hunters using their voice. Probably 9 out of 10. I have the poly, one in curly maple, one in a wood I can't remember o
done and hopefully another on the way for my brother.

The bocote sounds awesome. Especially the one James had hidden in his shirt pocket at nationals
