Does anyone have a problem with their pot calls having a total different tone on a cool  morning and any tips that will help ?

I've ran into this over the years.  One reason I'm primarily a mouth call guy.

I found a good all weather pot can help on those cold or damp mornings using a carbon tip striker.

Enticer, Loftis, many other good ones.

I'm sure guys will chime in with help for the calls you have now.

I didn't use slate once last year because I got tired of pulling it out on a cold damp morning and having it sound all off, crystal and ceramic seem to always want to play
