Team Strut Stoppers season is almost here. I just wanted to go over some things about entering/scoring a bird  so we get everything we need and not get any disqualified.

1. Read the rules and know what is expected.

2. Take good/clear picture.( If someone else is available have them take the pics for you)
If you are not sure how to post pics, we will be glad to help you, BUT do not wait until you shoot a bird to learn.

3. Post your pics and score in the Harvested Bird Thread. Then go to the Kill and Hunt stories thread and tell us about the hunt. This is also the congrats thread.

4. I will keep updating our scores as more birds are harvested.

5. Some guys like to write out there team name, beard length, left spur, rt spur, weight and total score on a piece of paper and get a pic with the bird. ( using the Gobblermatic *******scoring calculator)

If we know what we need before we get a bird we can be ready to weigh, measure and take GREAT pictures.  Thanks John

What's the best place to get a scale to weigh turkey? Also, can we get a strut stopper signature?

Lol.....John, would it be a good idea to have one of these "pieces of paper" with you on your hunt?   That way you can just pencil in the stats once you kill your bird.

For the new guys to the team, John and I often hunt together.   He knows what I'm getting at.

Tony I asked about the banner in the team business, hoepfully who is good with
Computers can help us out.
You can get a scale from a fishing store. I purchased a cheap one from Bass Pro Shops.
Check ebay, Amazon, maybe Home Depot or Harbor Freight. Most are
Under $20.

Backwater has his "traditions", most people call them superstitions. He has certian rituals he does
Every year. It is probably better to have the score sheet at home and after you kill a bird you can fill
It in. That way you do not "JINX" yourself.
Did you guys know there are "turkey Gods". lol

I will see that if I can find the ones we used last year.
