I believe that I will call mine "Idea", cause it's the last thing that goes through a gobbler's head.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

Brian I love the Old School 11-87's!!!
I have one in Mosdy Oak myself from '91
She's killed lots of ducks and lost a lot of camo,
but still shoots great!
I have never killed a turkey with her tho.
I may have to try her out this year!

Benelli Montefeltro 20 ga ---- " Death Wind"
"le vent de la mort"   Lew Wetzel from the Zane Grey novel  "The Border Men" ? That's cool!

Bigspurs68

Ours aren't too complicated. There's "the 20" "the 11-87" and "my gun".

Lewis was something. I've read The Life and Times of Lewis Wetzel. Have you read that one? It's a great read. I'm thinking he named his rifle " Kil Devil". Strutter.

No, I haven't read that one, I will  have to check it out. I do believe your right about the name of his rifle. I read "A Dark and Bloody River" awhile back, it was pretty good, all about the Ohio frontier during that time period. Them was some tough men, that's for sure!

The Cohutta Strutter

I've always had a fascination with that time period, anything French and Indian through the Revolution...your absolutely correct with the toughness and 'dogged determination' as it's referred to sometimes that the earlier settlers possessed to survive a wild and lawless land. i think every American needs to take a good look at early America. It was a lot of things but often a sad and brutal period for many Americans. I know it gave me a greater appreciation of the ground I call home. Thanks, Ill have to check out the other books. Lord, i've gotten completely off topic so i'll stop. Strutter.
