What's the average pellet count in a 3.5" 517t 4x5x7?  How bout a 51013a 4x5x7?  Just trying to get an idea on pellet count and what I may expect in a pattern

Gobble!

didn't someone cut open one of these shells long ago and see pellets sizes from #2-#9?
I have seen patterns around 330 range. I have no idea what a average pellet count per shell would be.

I don't remember the catalog number but on the 2 7/16 oz loads of 4-5-7s that I've been shooting the total pellet count has been running around 550 pellets. I shoot on 4 foot square cardboard sheets ( I get them free at Tractor Supply Company, they're called pallet sheets, they throw them away). It looks like the entire pattern hits the sheet at 40 yards so that should be a close count.

That's what I plant to shoot first..the 2 7/16 oz loads.  Nimrod what gun you shooting them out of?

Fountain I'm shooting them in a Remington 870 Super Mag. They have been real killers for me and outshoot the  Mag Bllends pattern wise.
