1 sided box calls?

I do not have a one sided box call.  If you were looking for a new box, would you stick with a 2 sided call or is there an advantage to a one sided call?

A little more flexibility with the 2 sided call. You can gobble with it and have another rail of hens. That being said I just picked up 3 one sider calls. I like the yelp of a one sider better than a 2 sided call but that is probably just me and my ear.

Well wrote Denny .A good one sider can make a nice yelp with that end note .Ive made my share of one siders I made  a mahogany with a oak lid man that call run good .

Both have a place. Whichever you can run best and sounds best to you is the one to go with you to the woods. Confidence works.

I have a few one-sider calls and have used some of them to kill gobblers. They seem to be more forgiving to run but lack the flexibility of a two-sided box. Probably the call that has been sold more than any other is the Lynch Fool Proof, a one-sider that certainly deserves its name.

If I were going to buy a Boxcall I would definitely get a double sided box. It really depends on the persons experience level in running calls. The one SIDER is great beginner call because it's design allows you to be consistent. But with a little practice there are many more turkeys to be found in a good double sided call.

Steve Mann started making a one sider this year. Very easy to play and it's full of turkey.

I am on Ed Terefencko's waiting list for a couple left-handed one-siders, and after seeing Denny's I sure know what one combo will be.

Russell Beard, BeardHunter Turkey calls, has built some fine sounding one siders this year. It's a first for him, but they are all turkey.
