Hi guys.  I'm considering an 20ga 11-87 for my daughter.  My question is are all camo "Sportsmans" considered "Compact" models?

If not, I'm assuming the receiver and forearm stock are all the same between the 2 and the only difference is the butt stock then correct?

Does barrel length come into play at all?  In other words, does only one of them come with the 21" barrel or 26", etc.?

Thanks!!

Remington lists all of the 11-87s as sportsmans. The Compacts are a variation of the sportsman that comes with short barrels and buttstock

yes,all sportsman models, the difference is barrel length and stock length
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

I have a 11-87 youth model, it has a 21" barrel.

Thanks guys.  I checked out an 11-87 youth (compact) with a 21" barrel over the weekend and it seems like a nice gun.

I bought the camo version last week. It'll be heading back to Remington as soon as I can get in touch with them. The rib isn't straight, and it shot over a foot to the left.
