My favorite is a custom laminated striker made by Roger Decker of Papaw's Custom Calls.
It is made from Walnut, Ebony, Osage and Goncola Alves with a flared tip.

Don't have ONE favorite for all calls but I do tend to have a favorite for each of my calls. IF I had to pick just one to hunt with though, it'd be a Dad's Purpleheart.

Lyman snakewood , Lyman dymondwood  and Yingling bloodwood are my favorites.

Macassar ebony . made by Sandlapper game calls in South Carolina. Don't know if they still build them . if I loose that one , a grown man is gona cry ! But any Macassar is black magic in my hands. Gona have to get a 1/4 inch one made to 8 + inches maybe a Fowler.... :drool:
