Last night I was Blessed to hear the testimony of Army Ranger, Major Jeff Struecker, at the Red Might and Blue. Jeff was involved in the Blackhawk down scenario, and was the leader driving the Humvees. I won't go into all the details other than when he reported in all his service, he was never terrified until the time he was washing out all the blood from the back of one of his Humvees. He was doing so, as he was fixing to have to take another trip back to where he had just come from. As the leader, didn't want the new men, he was fixing to lead, to have a negative beginning from being in a blood soaked vehicle.

As he was washing out the back with pal and brush, he began praying to God, knowing he was going back to a certain death. Here, he came to realize from the scriptures he had been studying, it was not his will, but of Gods to what he was to do. He was either going to go back to the death trap in a fiberglass bodied Humvee to get more men, and return back to his pregnant wife in the states, or he was going to go back in the Humvee and die, and go home to his Father, both, winning situations. From this point on, he had the peace, and comfort, which allowed him to be clear headed and complete the mission. Other soldiers lined up in the end to talk with him, to ask him questions. Those soldiers which were in battle with him, which noticed, he had something different about him though all the chaos. They wanted what he had, what they were missing.

He was able to witness about the peace of Jesus. Do you have that peace? Do you know you will win the battle regardless of the outcomes? A winning outcome is the result of Jesus in your life. We are not promised easy situations, much like Major Struecker, we have battles of our own, which we do not want to have to go into, but we must.

Our Heavenly Father has already prepared a place for us, and knows the battle plans. With Him, though we have struggles, pains, and joy, he guards our hearts, and mind in these situations.

Philippians 4:6-7(NKJV)

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Are you struggling with life? Does it seem there is no end? There is, and it is not physical death, but life in, and through Jesus.

Father God,

Thank You for the new life we have through Your son Jesus. May those who are hunting to the core, be tenderly picked up by Your love, grace, and mercy. May Your healing hands comfort their wounds, and may Your love, smother those spots of anger, and pain.

We know Your son Jesus took our place on the cross for our sins, so we may be with You. We know Jesus rose again after death, on the third day. We acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and we thank you for the peace with passes all understanding in terrible situations.

May the work we have left to do on this earth, be done for You, and may it all bring glory, and honor to You, in all we do. May our will be of You, and may Your Holy Spirit, lead, guide, and direct us.

Thank You Father, for it is in Jesus name we ask, and claim these things, Amen.

God Bless,
David B.
