Orphan Fawn

I lost some deer during the prolonged 3 month drought and a suspected outbreak of EHD.  All our deer are skinny and I'm seeing very few fawns and a lot of dry does.  I have one orphan fawn that has made the farm yard and the adjoining timber its home.  It comes around the yard any time of day looking for something green to eat and regularly beds in the yard for periods of time.  So far it has learned no real fear of humans.  I'm trying not to domesticate it any more than it is already.  I'm afraid that it will just stand and watch a hunter and someone on the neighbors will shoot it this fall.   It sure is cute.  The young buck and his sister will tolerate the fawn but the other deer have nothing to do with it.  The green growth is next to our front porch and it's only green from watering the foundation.
