EL-OLAM - The Everlasting God

Isaiah 40:28-31

New Living Translation (NLT)

28 Have you never heard?
    Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
29 He gives power to the weak
    and strength to the powerless.
30 Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

How many times have I heard lately about how "religion" and "traditional values" are so archaic.  Our post-modern society would try to convince us that what might have been no longer is.  The values that were held by patriotic, God-fearing people no longer apply, because "times" have changed.  Granted, times have changed.  Advancements have been made.  Technology has increased beyond our wildest imaginations.
HOWEVER, our God has not changed.  His ways our still higher than our ways.  His knowledge and understanding still far exceed that of the brightest scholars and scientists.  Some passionately seek to discredit or disprove the existence of God.  Those same people will "wither like grass" and "fade like the flower".  God's word tells us that our lives are like a vapor, a wisp of smoke that vanishes momentarily.  It also reminds us that the word of God will stand FOREVER.  God transcends (is not limited by) culture, time, space, religions of man...   Our human minds cannot begin to comprehend the scope and the essence of God.  We can rely on these verses to know that our God stands ready to give us strength to withstand whatever comes against us, and that his power and resources never diminish or decrease.

2nd Thess. tell us that before our gathering together unto our Lord Jesus Christ , they will be a great falling away. I believe we are seeing prophecy unfold before our very eyes. Let God's  people look up and be glad , for our redemption draws near! Thank you for words .
