If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!

Nice, hope to hunt there someday

Nice Gobbler.
My son and I also hunted the Blackhills for the first time this year.  We found a lot of birds near Deadwood and Spearfish.  We each filled our blackhills tags early.  We had tags for meade county, but we couldn't find any birds on public land.  We didn't find any ranchers that wanted to allow us to hunt.  We left with those tags not being filled.  We will probably try the Blackhills next year again.

Sure are some good looking birds, congrats

It was a Slaton, must've been a different one.  I have bouts of CRS disease myself... :toothy12:

Congrats on the bird and the new setup working so well. :icon_thumright:

I have a Black Hills question.  Our turkey traveling group has one member who is handicapped.  His mobility is limited to a couple hundred yards or so on decent terrain.  Are there places in the Black Hills that he could have a decent hunt?  Somewhere he could be dropped near a good spot?
I've never been there so I don't know how rugged they are?

Yes there are some places.

Thanks Joe.  Didn't we meet in KS last year?  I was with Firedup there.

I've never turkey hunted KS. I did hunt deer there a few years ago. I can't remember if we met there or not. I've got that A G E disease.

BH Thanks for the info!  I may be PM'ing you in a few months if we decide to go after Merriams next spring.
Thanks!
