Mine is model 1003 in a .655. says lead only but i might try a h-13 out of it tomorrow.

mikejd

Spur collector, keep us posted on the H-13.

I'm shooting the model #1007 (.680) in my 835 too.
I bought it in about 1995 if I remember correctly, and it is marked for lead only.
I've shot a ton of various HTL loads thru it the past 2 months. Zero issues.
It shoots great and is built like a tank, like Brad said.

Bowbendr, thanks that is what I wanted to hear.

I'd like to buy the MD-1003 .655 for Remington 12 gauge if any of you decide to sell. :OGturkeyhead:

If you old guys remember, the chokes were made to shoot 4 or 5 shot and 5 and 6 shot. Meaning on the package it was listed as the same. I have one that would put up 200#'s all day with the 5 and 6 hevi shot with the clear hulls.
Don't gobble at me...

I just got a NIB MD-1003 and contacted Indian Creek via email.

I was told IC was not involved with that choke and to avoid HTL shot.  Clear as mud for sure.

I just received an email from Flambeau CS and was told HTL was ok through the MD-1003 choke.
