Is the IC choke tube ready to go when shipped or does it need to be cleaned or anything?

I usually clean all new chokes out with a bronze brush and either solvent or Kroil.   Then I swab it clean and then run a twisted up paper towel through the choke a few times.

I own 4 and dont remember them being particularly dirty but it certainly wont hurt to clean it.

Gobble!

I think the threads on mine needed a little cleaning

started me a choke fund last year. Put my spare change in a jar labled choketube. This is what it got me. Has some small holes in it but I'll take it. Backstop was a piece of tin. Not paper tin you buy today this was tin off an old barn maybe like 3 pieces of todays tin. Can't see where any shot hit and didn't go through

Maybe if we could see a picture of the tin would help ease the minds of those that doubt the Hevi-13 #7 loads.

when it gets daylight tomorrow I'll take one. It supprised me

You say IC and do you mean that as in Improved Cylinder?
