Well we started out with 7 birds gobbling this morning and they were hot. Between them I bet they gobbled 200 times they flew down at 715 and we worked two gobblers for about 45 mins until finally one fell for the old box call and got close enough for a good shot. When he got to 35 yds I told my son he's a good bird and I'm gonna yelp and make his head stand up and you shoot him when he does he says OK. I yelped and he cut me off with a Google and the 20ga cut him off mid gobble. Folks let me tell you I don't know who was more excited. That's what its all about. I would rather see my son harvest a good bird than to take one myself. He had a a 10 1/8 inch beard and one inch spurs. Good Mississippi bird. New to forum.
