Been working on my Dad's old Stoeger side by side Uplander. Have not tried the 7s. Have some Blend to shoot. Any info on a realistic range assuming good pattern.

Mossygoose

My daughter dropped a bird last year at 40 yards and he was stone cold dead

Hevi 7s or Federal HW 7s will hold killing energy past the point where the pattern deteriorates.

i would definitely go with the federals over the hevi13 though. I would much rather be shooting something that is a TRUE 7 @ 15g/cc than some 13g/cc 7.5's, 8's, and who knows what else.

35 - 40 yards is probably the most you'll see out of it.

Devastator

i will be using the fed 7's this spring, but this last fall i have some hevi13 7's that i want to use up and killed my fall bird at 43 paces, stone dead.

surehuntsalot

it's not the harvest,it's the chase
