Anyone tried hunting turkey during the fall season in Florida? I was unable to snag a bird this past spring and was thinking I might be able to hunt this fall. I have looked on myfwc for wma's that allow turkey hunting during the fall but it seems they only cater to the deer hunting. Any information would be great. Thanks and HAAPY FATHER'S DAY to all the dad's out there.

There is some places that allow gobbler only in fall during archery in central florida. Just pull up the individual WMA brochures and they tell you what you are allowed to take during each hunt. Plus its time to apply for permits to hunt the WMA's.

I was told by the FWC that you can hunt wild turkey in the fall on Private property in the fall...i don't know about hunting on the WMA's. Depending on where u live, it opens up as early as Oct 3rd and stays open till as late as Jan 29th. This is for shotgun season.

Hope this helps.
